During her recent holiday trip to the Philippines, H.E.R. (who is now 25) sang a rendition of “Maging Sino Ka Man” with her mother, uncles, aunts, and cousins in the living room of the house her mother grew up in in Cabanatuan. In fact, Vogue Philippines recorded them performing for an upcoming video.

I think there’s something in this version of Matilda that positions our gal as more of a “superhero”. Perhaps it’s that we live in a post-Marvel world now, but when she sort of flips onto the roof during this song, I couldn’t help but think, “that’s a bit wild, 1996 Matilda would never”. I’m not mad about Matilda being more superhuman, so to speak, and I think Alisha’s performance is super endearing in this number, but for nostalgia’s sake I’ve moved it down the list somewhat....

“Aww, she’s wearing her uncle’s gift for her, how sweet,” says the person who has no idea what goes on in the Targaryen family. LOL at this small boy presenting himself as a suitor. Whoever this actor is, he’s killing it. Speaking of killing, go, small boy! Get that bully! Yep, there’s Daemon! Called it. Vissy’s got his crown AND his sword; that’s how you know it’s a Serious Court Meeting....

The brand I’ve been using lately is made from coconut, palm fiber, and wood pulp, which — who knew? — work really well as a sponge. I’ve also found that the top/rough side that you really get into scrubbing with is very effective — maybe even better than your average store brand. I also really like the idea that the sponges will decompose one day into dirt. Thinking about the other options for the sponge (being dumped on the side of the road somewhere, residing in a pile of trash forever, or worse, joining the plastic island in the middle of the ocean) are sometimes too depressing to think about....

Pero en esta lista te diremos qué series tal vez no conoces porque están infravaloradas pero que sabemos que te van a encantar… y otras que tal vez deberías dejar de ver. Se trata de una microserie de 10 capítulos donde vemos las alucinaciones de Owen y Annie que nos llevan por diferentes escenarios como si estuviéramos viendo películas de diferentes géneros. Tanto la actuación como la dirección y la propia historia valen totalmente la pena....

What it’s about: A Death in Denmark is a political thriller set in modern Denmark, with intriguing flashbacks to Nazi-occupied Europe. Private eye Praest investigates the conviction of Iraqi refugee Ahmed, at the behest of his ex-girlfriend. It turns out the right-wing politician that Ahmed was convicted of murdering was digging up very sensitive information about Denmark’s role in Nazi Germany. Fans of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will love this unique mystery....
